For car care your pros offer. This is what they find today.
Join the waiting list
Search and browse are closed for nowThe waiting list is the right call for now.
Search opens later, city by city. The pages a buyer lands on that day have to be built, and found by Google, well before it. That is what this document is about.
Every pro clears 5 gates before a first booking. Stripe holds a 30% deposit and takes it only when the pro says yes. The site scores 100 on Google’s search and accessibility checks and loads faster than every car care site we timed.
“One place to book anything you would do to a car after buying it.”
Autara, published on the home page.
This document takes that at face value. It is about the distance between it and what a buyer can reach today.
DataForSEO Backlinks and Google Ads Keyword Planner, Australia, 3 October 2026. Load time is the best of 3 fetches that day; the checks are Lighthouse, mobile.
These are not projections. This is how many times, every year, someone in Australia types a car care service your pros offer into Google.
Each term’s searches multiplied by its own cost per click, then summed. The volume-weighted average is $2.61.
We left out “car wash near me” and its cousins: 90,500 searches a month in Melbourne alone. That demand belongs to a driveway with a queue, not to a marketplace of mobile and workshop pros, and counting it would have flattened every other band.
Melbourne and Sydney are level. Brisbane and Perth follow. Everywhere else is single digits.
Monthly search volume for the same 11 services in each city, English, pulled 3 October 2026 from the Google Ads Keyword Planner via DataForSEO. 15 cities shown; yearly figures are the monthly measurement multiplied by 12. A sample, not the full basket above.
We ran the 9 searches a Melbourne car owner runs: car detailing melbourne, ceramic coating melbourne, car detailing near me, and 6 more. Local pros came back, not marketplaces.
This is what we saw on 3 October 2026. It is a record of that day, not a ranking report.
169 results came back from 109 different websites, and 26 of them were Facebook, Instagram, Reddit or TikTok pages. Only 2 marketplaces showed up: Airtasker 3 times, never above position 8, and AutoGuru once. No marketplace has won this yet, and the businesses winning it are the pros you want on Autara.
Type Autara into Google and you share the page with a health-tech firm in India, a Bitcoin money market and a New Zealand company. Google’s own summary opens with “Autara can refer to several distinct entities”.
Today this costs you almost nothing, because almost nobody searches the name yet. The day the first ad runs, every one of those searches lands on a page that has to say which Autara this is. Settling it now is cheap. Settling it after launch is not.
The other half of the marketplace, measured from the Melbourne CBD in a single Google category. Tinters and wrap installers are not in this number.
This side is found by name, not by search.
A buyer has to be found through Google. A pro does not: every one of them is already on a list, with a name, a suburb and a phone number. Supply is the half you can start on today.
DataForSEO Business Listings, car detailing category, 25 km from the Melbourne CBD, 3 October 2026. 332 of the 428 listings returned carry car detailing as their main category.
Every search in Australia for car care software, a booking app or a car care CRM adds up to 280 a month, across 28 terms that each return Google’s floor of 10. The habit lives in general tools, searched by name.
Tool names are searched by every trade, and Fresha mostly by salons. They show where the habit lives, not how many car care pros use each.
When a pro does go looking, Google in Melbourne answers “booking app for car detailers” with 14 software companies. Autara was not one of them, and the business site has 5 pages and 0 links pointing at it.
So supply is won by working the list, suburb by suburb, with a business site that makes the switch obvious when a pro looks you up.
Google Ads Keyword Planner via DataForSEO at the Australia location, and Google search results at the Melbourne location, both 3 October 2026.
This is everything we found across both sites. None of it is about the product, and most of it is a few weeks of work.
The sites are public, so we could measure them. The waiting list, the pro pipeline and the bookings are not, and that is where the launch will be decided.
These are questions, not findings. They are what the 45 minutes is for.
A buyer has to find you, land on a page that can take the booking, be reminded, and come back. A pro has to apply, be checked and go live. No single system does all of that.
Every step a buyer or a pro takes needs at least 2 of them working together.
The order matters more than any single piece. This is the one we would argue for, and the 45 minutes is where it meets your numbers.
The business side is already open in Melbourne. 332 pros in a single Google category sit within 25 km, each with a name and a phone number.
Profiles stay hidden from Google until search opens, and the service and suburb pages are not built. A page Google first meets on launch day starts from nothing.
Choose how many pros a suburb needs before its waiting list is invited, then invite only the suburbs that meet it.
Melbourne car care searches peaked in January at 57,730 a month and bottomed in June at 44,750. Open with pages Google already knows, before the peak.
After Melbourne, Sydney’s searching matches Melbourne’s almost exactly. Its supply is the next thing to count.
Monthly totals of the 1,218-term Melbourne basket, September 2025 to August 2026, Google Ads Keyword Planner via DataForSEO, pulled 3 October 2026. How profiles and search switch on was confirmed by Autara, 3 October 2026.
